The PlayStation 4 Pro marks a turning point for the modern console era. In fact, it redefines what a "console" even means. Consoles are supposed to offer "good enough" graphics at an attractive price point, and a consistent hardware target to allow developers to optimize the crap out of their games. Meanwhile, PC gamers can spend twice as much (or more) and get marginally better graphics and all the headaches and complexities of playing games on a grab bag of hardware.

After launching the Lava X80 in July, the Indian manufacturer has launched yet another voice-calling tablet in the market. The Lava Ivory Pop tablet is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom processor and is priced at Rs. 6,299. The budgeted tablet will be available across all national retail stores, multi-brand outlets and online platforms.

Last year in May, Google's Android One initiative reached Turkey with the General Mobile 4G smartphone. Since then, the Turkish manufacturer General Mobile has launched the 5 Plus smartphone in the market as well, and now a new Android One smartphone has been added to the mix expanding its portfolio. Furthering Google's efforts to bring stock Android and modern connectivity to the masses, the General Mobile GM5 smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.

The Nvidia Shield Tablet and Shield Tablet K1 have been updated with new software this week, straight from Nvidia and bringing conformity with Vulkan 1.0.1.0 among others. The upgrade for the Shield Tablet is labeled as “Upgrade 4.4”, while the Tablet K1 update goes as Upgrade 1.5.
