Roland Quandt of WinFuture have leaked a new 12-inch Windows 10 tablet that will succeed the Lenovo Miix 510, and as you might guess, it is called Lenovo Miix 520.
Quandt writes that his sources says the specs are not 100% final yet, but very close to, since the Miix 520 is still in development. So what we seem to be dealing with then is a 12.3-inch Windows 10 2-in-1 tablet with built-in kickstand with the main specs being FHD 1920 x 1200 resolution, a choice of 7th gen. Intel Core processors without active cooling, an augmented reality-enabled camera, a fingerprint reader, and support for Wacom digitizer with 2048 pressure levels support.
RAM will follow the processors, with 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB DDR4 RAM variants, and 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options along with that.
It appears that the Miix 520 might get a 5MP front camera, along with 1x 8MP camera and 1x 2MP camera, with the latter one possibly being intended for augmented reality. This would make sense, since augmented reality is a focus area for Microsoft and its partners right now, and one of the directions in which Windows is headed with its developments next year.
Other Lenovo Miix 520 specs of the current development version, includes 2x USB Type-C ports, and 1x USB 3.0 port, Wi-Fi support including ac Wi-Fi, as well as Bluetooth 4.2, Dolby Audio stereo speakers, a 10 hour battery life, a fingerprint reader located between the volume keys, and possibly voice activated wake on demand.
In design it might be similar to the recently launched Lenovo Miix 510, with a magnesium-aluminum alloy casing.
A possible unveiling date is mentioned to be the first half of 2017.
